					Lovely place, plenty of towels for hot tub and showering etc. Clean, tidy and very private. Hosts provided wine and snacks which was much appreciated. Set in lovely little village very walkable along the stream/river with a couple of pubs, breakfast spots and restaurants.

					Booked for 5 nights. Really nice property a lot of money has been spent on it. Thing that let it down was the cover on the hot tub it had no arm to help hold it back. Had to be lifted off very hard to put back my husband put his back out put us off using it. Bath leaked downtairs when using the shower. Village nice.

					We stayed at the old police terrace for 5 nights over half term. What a beautiful property, so beautifully renovated. Was spotlessly clean and really loved the little touches like the scones and fizz left for our arrival. We have used the hot tub every day, what a treat. A fabulous base to go exploring - we’ve caught the train from the village station to Whitby and visited staithes and Saltburn by the sea this week. The village is so picturesque - we loved the little sweet shop and ice cream parlour. Regular texts from the owners with lots of information pre arrival and ideas of places to visit. Couldn’t recommend more highly for a perfect place to stay to explore North Yorkshire and the Cleveland coast. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this wonderful house in the perfect location.

					We had a fantastic week in Great Ayton and the surrounding areas! The townhome was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches and the beds were very comfy! It is easy to walk anywhere in Great Ayton from the property. Street parking was not ideal but we were able to manage it. The village has many great places to eat and drink- Royal Oaks pub, Pomegranate Persian Tea room, G&TeaHouse, The Poorhouse, and Suggitts.We highly recommend the hike up Roseberry Topping!  The view is worth it:) Josh and Laura are terrific hosts. They communicated well and Josh came by right away when we first arrived and had an issue with the key—user error on our part! He couldn’t have been nicer, even booked us in at the local pub for dinner. Yum!

					We stayed here for six nights as we were let down by another self catering accommodation in the area..

Due to our circumstances we were allowed in to the property at 10am rather than the 3pm check in ,  which was hugely appreciated.

What a gorgeous clean property.   Walking distance to the beautiful village of Great Ayton.  We have two dogs and the enclosed garden with the stunning gates made us all feel so safe.  Can’t wait to return.  Thank you for being great hosts.

					Lovely property, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bedrooms had great storage for unpacking a full bag. We didn’t use the hot-ton but it looked great. Friendly host who replied when we had questions. They were super helpful and sent a forgotten item which was much appreciated. Parking was almost always available on the street outside, but if not there are other places a very short walk away. Great Ayton is lovely and a very easy walk from the property. Don’t miss a trip to Suggitt’s for a quarter of sweets or an ice cream, and Petch’s for a pie!

					Lovely property located on the high street and a short walk to the local shops and pubs.Entry into the property was very straight forward. There was a guest welcome package on the dining table along with a welcoming gift from the hosts. The property was extremely clean maintained to a high standard and we were furnished with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.The hosts were great and sent a message to welcome us and checked we had everything we needed.Great property, great location, great stay

					Overall this was a lovely home and place to stay. Beds were comfortable and a functional space. The hot tub was a great plus and the home was close by to what we needed. There were a few items that would have been helpful such as more essentials (more toilet paper, some sort of place to wash/dry the towels or clothes and other items that would be handy but you don’t want to buy once to leave it) but that was probably due to staying for a whole week and wouldn’t have been that necessary for a shorter stay.

					We stayed at the Old Police Terrace this August as a family of 5, what a fabulous time was had by all. The bookings process was really simple and Laura was excellent with her communication prior to and throughout our break - her local recommendations were appreciated. The property was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. We really loved the welcome hamper and the hot tub was amazing, the kids couldn't get enough of it. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub and bath towels were so fluffy. We loved the handy dishwasher and washing machine and appreciated the washing line and pegs outside. Great Ayton is a hidden gem with lovely pubs, a fab ice cream shop, great chippy and excellent local amenities. The kids loved having a paddle in the river too. We did day trips to Flamingoland, Diggerland Durham, Lightwater Valley and Alpamare, and loved Saltburn more locally. Thanks so much for an amazing break - it was faultless.
